Here at The Thirsty Farrier, we’re 100% committed to sustainability and the future of our planet. Like everyone, we’re doing our bit to become a little greener everyday, and as part of our mission to deliver unbeatable events that are also kind to our planet, we endeavour to always do the following:
reuse, reuse, reuse
Where possible, we reuse anything and everything we can. At weddings and events with a set number of visitors, we commit to only ever using reusable glassware, cups and equipment that can be taken away, washed and reused.
recycle
Where it is not possible to reuse products or equipment, we strive to ensure that it is fully recyclable. We have a separate bin in all our bars for recycling glass bottles, plastic and paper, and we always use paper straws in our drinks.
reduce waste
No matter how hard we try, there is always going to be waste from any bar. However, where possible, we source our ingredients from local farms or our own. We also feed our ducks and chickens with the left over fruit from our cocktails – they love the passionfruit!
repurpose
Finally, all of our bars are built from repurposed materials. Our horseboxes were pulled out from a field, where they had been left for over 15 years! We used old pallets and horseshoes to decorate the interiors, and our indoor bars were built with old pallets, too.
